Baptismal Certificate to be issued within 6 mths of wedding date.

Ministers in Jamaica are licensed by the Government. The ceremony is preformed like any other Christian Ceremony throughout the world. In addition to the Religious format there are areas in the ceremony for couples to say/make their own vows, promises or poems to each other. Weddings can be performed by (a) Non-denominational Minister or (b) Roman Catholic Priest in a Church or (c) Jewish Ceremony in our Synagogue located in Kingston. If required, Perry-Leigh will assist/make your program for your ceremony. If you wish to invite your own minister to Jamaica, he may participate in the ceremony, however by law, ‘the rite of marriage’ or the exchange of vows and the pronouncement must be done
by the Jamaican Minister.
10.
Most of our ceremonies last for approximately 20 minutes. If you wish your ceremony can be shortened or lengthened depending on how much of the traditional rituals you require.
11.
Upon returning to the United States, it is not necessary to register your marriage with the courts. You will however, be required to use this license to make all necessary changes with regards to your passport, driver’s license, voter’s registration and all your legal documents that will carry your new name.
